Description

The visceral elements of the darkness represent the internal nature of this picture. The darkness is depression and all of its oppressive elements. Sometimes when you feel you are surrounded by the darkness, you feel like you are a part of it too, which makes it all the more impossible to grasp things like small hopes - especially when your hands are dirty. That's just what I was thinking when I painted this, but you know, it's also just a freaky dark looking chick with spectres and demons surrounding her

Excellent piece - really like the concept and the mood of the work....

You published 6 works in one go! Might be better to spread them out over the month a bit - some folks will miss the other 5 (if they come in from the main page only 1 work per day is thumbnailed) and also it's hard to give detailed crits on 6 pieces in one go, ( I mean more detailed than mine - fraid I'm not a painter so I'm a bit limited here)

Very nice painting, your best out of the 6 you posted! lol Not being too bitchy or anything but posting 6 artworks in a row is a bit rude in my opinion, it pushes all the other guys and girls works off the page pretty quickly. Just giving you a heads up that some people might get a bit annoyed.

I like this, however I'm not digging that dog creature, it looks kind of pasted in to me, I reckon the painting would be stronger if you left the pooch out. Nice work.

Nice face, pose etc. The over all image is too flat though, try using more contrasting colors next time. I also agree with Juro, the demon "dog" looks like it has been pasted in.

I must say it again, great face.

The girl is simply stunning!
Her strange eyes made me stare at her for quite some time now.
The whole picture could use some more contrast.
But I still think it's excellent, especially because of the character.
